Agent Ready Crawlers

The field guide to every AI crawler and agent at the door, and the vendors who decide who gets in.

Crawler operator

Notte

In short

Notte offers browser sessions, web agents and serverless browser functions, with automatic CAPTCHA solving on by default through its API and a per-session user agent override, and prices sessions from USD 0.01 an hour. Its CLI leaves Web Bot Auth switched off unless a customer sets it, and the docs never name an address for the signatures.

What Notte does for this layer

From the vendor's own pages

Notte's docs describe the flow as signing with HTTP Message Signatures (RFC 9421), after which Cloudflare checks the signature against its verified bots list. (docs.notte.cc) Notte's docs suggest pointing a signed session at webbotauth.io/test to confirm that requests carry valid signatures. (docs.notte.cc) Notte's CLI reference lists automatic CAPTCHA solving with an API default of true, a per-session user agent override, and an advanced stealth mode available to approved workspaces. (docs.notte.cc) Notte prices browser sessions at USD 0.01 an hour, browser functions at USD 0.05 an hour and residential proxies at USD 10 per GB, with bring-your-own proxy at USD 0.20 per GB on the Startup plan. (notte.cc)

Notte's plans are Free with USD 10 of one-time credits, paid plans at USD 20 and USD 100 a month with matching monthly credits, and custom terms. (notte.cc)

Claims the vendor makes about itself

Notte says it is "registered as a verified bot" in Cloudflare's registry and that, when web_bot_auth is set, it signs every outgoing HTTP request in the session with its registered identity. (docs.notte.cc) Notte describes itself as a full-stack browser platform for AI agents, backed by Y Combinator (W25) and SOC 2 Type II certified. (notte.cc)

What our crawl saw

GETs for the Web Bot Auth key directory at notte.cc, www.notte.cc and api.notte.cc returned HTTP 404 on 2026-11-05, and Notte's docs name no Signature-Agent URL. (notte.cc)

What Notte does not do

  • Notte does not publish the Signature-Agent URL or key directory it signs with, so outside Cloudflare a site has nothing to verify against (checked 2026-11-05).
  • Notte sessions are unsigned unless the customer sets web_bot_auth, and the CLI exposes a user agent override.
